Seeking God in Everything

I had a particularly difficult conversation with my sisters one evening. After that call, and without a conscious thought, I checked for some information on my cell. I then escaped into my phone, into the world of Facebook. When I found some solace there, I realized that I wasn’t looking for solace in Facebook; rather, I was seeking solace in God. It wasn’t a conscious decision/thought. Then I realized that people, pretty much everywhere, and unconsciously, are also seeking God every day. It is the Soul’s nature to do so.

Seeking God in everything.

Cell phone use, texting, Facebook, all social media – seeking God.

Eating to excess – seeking God.

Sex to excess – seeking God.

Endless computer time – seeking God.

Every pursuit that feels comforting is actually a distraction from what our Soul is calling us to do.

God first.

Seek comfort from God first by communicating with Him. Start with Jesus.

This will be our daily pursuit.

God is Love.

Love is Everything.

This is the truth in what we seek.
